Aggravating

So last week, starting on Sunday, was an absolute train wreck.  Mentally I wasn't on target at all.  The Gamora was very difficult.  I couldn't get a handle on breaking it down according to the methods we've been taught.  Basically we are using a method that generates critical thinking skills by way of a certain system.  However, the gamora was so wide open it drove me crazy.  Those of you that know me personally know that I have an ability to shut down and give up.  Well that's what happened to me last week.  I was ready to pack it up.  After 3 bad days I ended up talking to the education director and the rosh yeshiva.  With a lot of encouragement I went back to the daf (page of gamora) with renewed energy and focus.  Unfortunately the next day I was in bed from a bit of dehydration and total exhaustion.  Friday was better and Shabbat was awesome as usual.  Shavuah tov!

  1. Hang in there, just step back and remember that you have made it all the way from Galut to Israel and are studying Gemara in ir hakodesh! Try and keep that sense of awe when things start getting real tough with the learning. I am real happy for you. ---Yosef from the ATL
