Good Times

My buddy Dan came to visit this Shabbat. We had a good time. Friday night we went to Sof D'vash for Kabbalat Shabbat. Dan is Mitzri (Egyptian Jew) so I figured I'd take him somewhere familiar. I'd never been there before but found it really nice. It was the closest to Ner HaMizrach I've come since coming to Israel. They also do all the refrains for L'cha Dodi unlike some of the Sephardi knesset. For shacharit we went to Ben Zacai and then the yeshiva for minha. We had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Miller and lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Chernin both ex-Atlantians. We brought in the new week with arvit at Ben Zacai after a shir from the Sephardi rav of the Old City R'Medina. After a really nice Shabbat I think I'm ready to go tackle some gemara tomorrow. Later.

  1. It was a very nice Shabbat, Aaron. But I'm not Moroccan, I'm Egyptian (Mitzri). We should do it again sometime. Whenever you want to come to Har Nof, give me a holler.

  2. Ahhh...please forgive me then. I will change it right away. You will have to explain to me the differences one day. Thanks.
